Welcome to Kusuka!
If you love good food, we want to introduce you to an extraordinary and distinctive cuisine. We believe that Indonesian food offers unique combinations of the most delicious flavors in the world. And we are not alone in that belief: Rendang, a lavishly spiced beef stew, was voted the number one dish in the 2011 "Worlds 50 Most Delicious Foods" by CNN International. The number two dish? Nasi Goreng, or Indonesian style fried rice.
Kusuka offers both of these favorites, along with many other tasty dishes that primarily reflect the ethnic diversity and cultural richness of Java and Sumatra, the two most populous of Indonesia's more than 13,000 islands. We intend to offer authentic Indonesian cuisine to the American and international community in Western PA, Eastern Ohio, and West Virginia. Among the treats that await you are Ikan Pesmol, a fresh tilapia-cod entree superbly seasoned with lemongrass and ginger, and Gado-Gado, a popular dish of steamed vegetables served over rice cakes and topped with a tangy peanut sauce. To the best of our knowledge, our restaurant is the first to serve a full menu of Indonesian specialties in this region.
Kusuka's offerings include beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian dishes, along with noodle and rice dishes. Rounding out our menu are a large selection of appetizers, soups, beverages, and desserts. The biggest surprise? Pizza! We start with homemade, hand-stretched dough, add red, white, or barbecue sauce and your favorite choice of toppings, then bake it to perfection. Our specialty pizzas are not to be missed!
